Highest Standards

AMS Metal = Quality

At AMS Metal, we place great emphasis on quality, as evidenced by the implementation of a quality management system. This is confirmed by the certificate of compliance with the PN-EN ISO 9001:2015 standard, issued by TÜV NORD Polska.

Years of experience in the industry have allowed us to develop processes that meet the highest standards for both products and services. Our commitment to quality control at every stage of work translates into customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.

How Do We Ensure Quality?

Quality control of received materials is conducted in three stages:

Random samples are taken from the vehicle before unloading into a pre-prepared, clean box;

After preliminary verification, samples are taken from the storage box after the vehicle is unloaded;

Directly before loading processed or raw scrap onto the truck.

Our Laboratory

Our specialized quality control department has modern tools to determine all necessary parameters.

Samples are melted in two furnaces – Termetal and Balzer – depending on the size of the input.

We perform chemical analyses using:

  • Hitachi VULCAN portable laser spectrometers: OPTIMUM+, EXPERT+, and the HITACHI VULCAN X-MET8000 Smart X-ray spectrometer,
  • SpectroLAB stationary emission-spark spectrometer (accurate for light metal measurements),
  • SpectroMAXx stationary emission-spark spectrometer (accurate for heavy metal measurements).

Continuous Control

The accuracy of measurements is ensured by daily calibrations using accredited standards, and a document is prepared for each calibration containing detailed information about the process, including temperature and humidity during calibration.

We also perform physical analyses on deliveries of fine fractions to determine the degree of moisture and contamination of the dominant material by other elements, e.g., iron in aluminum chips.

Laboratory work is carried out by qualified staff under the supervision of a manager who has been with the company for nearly 10 years.
